Murang’a carves out 8-acre land to construct primary school

Murang'a Governor Irungu Kang'ata. The county has set aside land for the construction of a new primary school.

Murang’a County Government has carved out a seven-acre piece of land for construction of a new primary school in Maragua Constituency.

Governor Irungu Kang’ata said the primary school will greatly enhance access to education for learners who previously had to travel long distances.

“It will also serve as a feeder school to the recently constructed Karugu ECDE centre, which has enrolled 68 learners within its first year,” said the governor who was accompanied by Maragua MP Mary Wamaua.

The governor said the county government allocated the land for the construction of this and other institutions that will benefit the local community.

“This primary school will greatly enhance access to education for learners who previously had to travel long distances,” he added.

He also said his administration  was developing a Zabka smart city access road, which has improved connectivity to Zabka and will facilitate easy access to these institutions.

This effort reflects the commitment to collaborating with the national government to ensure efficient service delivery.

Others who accompanied the governor included CECMs Faith Njoroge (Education), Pius Macharia (Infrastructure), and Kimorori Wempa MCA Elizabeth Wambui.
