School going children in Mumias West sub-county are in for a treat as they gear up for a sports extravaganza this Sunday, August 25 where an array of sports competitions will take place.
Boniface Ngashira, the host of the event through Ngashira Care Foundation, said that the competitions will span across various sports categories, with football taking center stage.
Ngashira said that the initiative aims to steer students and youth in general away from unconstructive pastimes and build a sense of community.
Local teams will have the opportunity to showcase their skills, and aspiring athletes can look forward to a day filled with thrilling matches.
Adding to the host, renowned comedian Erick Omondi will grace the event as the guest of honor. His presence is expected to draw a large crowd.
“This region is brimming with untapped talent that deserves recognition. We are committed to providing a platform where these young athletes can shine,” he stated.
