Pokot Central MP Peter Lochakapong has unveiled a third bus for Chesta Comprehensive School that is fully compliant with the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) terms and conditions.
Speaking during the fete, the MP said that the bus has been fitted with all safety and regulatory gadgets and has also been certified by the Ministry of Education (MoE).
He added that the bus will help learners during tours, games and symposia, among other important school excursions, praising Chesta Girls for mentoring some of the best brains in Pokot Central.

Using the occasion to launch his bursary scheme of 54 million shillings, he said the kitty has already benefitted over 8,000 learners in colleges and tertiary institutions.
Speaking during the same function, the West Pokot Woman legislator Rael Aleutum said education had edged out cattle rustling and Female Genital Mutilation (FGM).
She gave her own contribution of Ksh1.2 million to ten less fortunate children in the region.
Also in attendance was the Evangelical Lutheran Church Bishop Thomas Lokori and area MCA Jacob Toungole.
