Shinyalu MP Fred Ikana has forged a partnership with Safaricom for an initiative called Ndoto Zetu aimed at addressing the pressing need for educational resources in the constituency.

This recently brought a wave of hope to local schools, as branded desks and chairs were donated to accommodate the increasing student population in public schools.

In his commitment to improving educational conditions, Ikana has conducted several impromptu visits to schools, witnessing firsthand the challenges that students face.

In some classrooms, pupils are forced to share the few available desks, while others resort to sitting on the floor, scribbling on their laps.

Such conditions not only hinder learning but can also dampen students’ enthusiasm for education.

Recognizing the urgent need for action, Ikana reached out to the Safaricom Foundation, leading to the donation of desks and chairs to local schools.

This sentiment echoes his belief that investing in students’ learning environments is crucial for cultivating a generation of empowered individuals who can uplift their communities.
