Bomachoge Borabu NG-CDF office has allocated Ksh 5 million towards the construction of a dormitory at Omobera SDA Girls Secondary School. Speaking at the area during the burial ceremony of the late Peter Mokebo, area MP Obadiah Barongo said the allocation of funds was a quick response to the request made by the school to construct a dormitory to accommodate the growing population of students.

“The school raised an urgent request to construct the dormitory, and my committee allocated the funds. Now the girls will sleep in a comfortable environment,” he said.

The MP called for unity among all constituents to enable them to move quickly and accomplish their development priorities, which include supporting education programs, improving the road network, and electrifying the constituency.

Barongo appealed to the national government and its road contractors to prioritize the completion of the Riokindo-Magenche road and Kiong’endo Bridge, which have taken more than 10 years to complete.

He cited the importance of completing the road infrastructure, as it will ease the transportation of students and teachers to school, especially during the rainy season, as well as the transportation of farm produce to the market.

The MP’s response came at a time when the constituents have been inquiring about the improvement of school infrastructure and roads in the region. He asked them to be patient, saying that not all projects can be accomplished at once.

The MP cited the completion of the 12 modern classrooms at Eberige DEB Comprehensive School, Endereti, and Magena Primary School as signs of hope and success for other development projects to follow.

He asked Magenche and Bokimonge Ward MCAs Timothy Ogugu and Amos Onderi, respectively, to work with his NG-CDF in the development plans to avoid duplication of services in the area.
