Moi Boys High School Kabartonjo has commenced trials to identify talent in students as it prepares to become a sports hub in Baringo County.
Speaking to Education News, Chief Principal Samuel Akufa said the aim of the strategy is to pursue special talents to represent the school at the national level and nurture elite sportsmen in future.
In the inaugural trials that kicked off on November 25, 2024, the school tracked the finest talents in soccer, basketball, hockey, handball, rugby and volleyball as it plans to determine growth of the students in various sports disciplines.
He said despite the school performing well in academics, they still want to produce all round students who will meet the market demand in United States, Spain and France, among other reputable first world countries.
