The arrest and prosecution comes on the heels of a surge in school fires that have rocked the nation over the last week.
A few days ago, Njia Boys’ High School in the same county went up in flames.
Six students have already been arrested in relation to the incident and are helping police with investigations.
Meru County Commissioner Jacob Ouma said the six were captured on CCTV footages committing the crime.
