Matungu MP urgently appeals to Govt to release term 3 capitation funds

Matungu constituency MP Oscar Nabulindo has decried the delay in capitation funds disbursement for term three to facilitate the smooth running of secondary schools.

The MP said the delay had adversely affected performance in schools and in turn brought down education standards in the region.

Nabulindo was speaking recently at St. John Mukhweya Secondary school during the official handing over of a new school bus procured at a cost of Ksh10 million.

“I urge the government to quickly disburse capitation funds in schools as a way of ensuring education carries on uninterrupted,” he said.

The MP asked the school management to ensure the new Isuzu bus is well utilized and maintained.

Nabulindo pledged to partner with the school to develop more projects.

The school Principal expressed her gratitude following the delivery of the new bus also lauded the MP for lifting the students’ morale.
