Celebrations broke out along Thika-Magumu road in Thika, Kiambu County as Mary Hill Girls High School students celebrated remarkable performance in the 2024 KCSE exam results.
The institution scooped a mean score of 10.0511, an improvement from 2023 KCSE results when the school had posted a mean score of 9.4423.
Some 80 managed to score straight A plains, 181 had A-s, 139 had B pluses, 111 had B plains while 37 had B-‘s. Some 32 others managed to score C pluses, five had C plains while only two had C-.
17-year-old Natalie Gichuki is among the students who posted stellar results after scoring an A of 83 points. Gichuki attributed her performance to hardwork and support by her teachers and parents.
“I was however anxious during and after the examinations and especially after the release of the results was delayed. I thank God, my teachers and my parents for supporting and guiding me,” she said.
The school Principal Grace Macharia said “We are delighted by the stellar performance of our students, and we have high hopes that the 2025 class will even post better results. We’ve achieved this through strong collaborations by all stakeholders.”
Out of the 587 candidates who sat for the examinations 580 qualified to join higher learning institutions after scoring C Plus and above.
