Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu’s speech during a funeral in Nyamira was briefly interrupted when a man, briskly walked up the podium and knelt down with hands up before the CS.
Machogu was addressing mourners during the funeral of Nyamaiya MCA Elijah Osiemo.
The man pleaded for a TSC job after Machogu offered a chance to one of the bereaved family members and announced that there were other positions for the locals.
The man braved all the security guards and rushed straight to kneel while raising his hand as a sign of surrender.
In turn, Machogu did not hesitate to hand him a TSC letter amid cheers and shouts of joy from the mourners.
“Hasn’t the young man fought for himself? Isn’t that a good fight?” Machogu asked the crown as he congratulated the middle-aged man.
