In a shocking incident, a 24-year-old man was arrested in Tabaka Location, South Mugirango in Kisii for pretending to be a girl who was late from school so that he can be given accommodation. However, the man had an ulterior motive.
Dressed as a girl in school uniform, he entered a home near the road and requested the owner to accommodate her until morning.
The innocent compassionate mother offered the strange “girl” accommodation to share a room with her two daughters.
When he undressed to sleep, the girls noticed that the stranger was a man. They screamed for help.
That was when the villagers rushed in and arrested the suspect then handed him to the police at Tabaka Police Station to assist the police with investigation in unraveling the motive behind his impersonation.
Meanwhile, the police in Kisii are looking for a man aged 65 years for allegedly defiling a minor.
The man reportedly ran away after defiling a learner of 10 years in his house at Ichuni village of Nyakembene location.
Trouble started when he requested the minor to bring her boiled bananas to his room for breakfast when he grabbed and laid her on bed.
After doing the heinous act, he threatened to kill her if she reported the incident to anybody in the village.
The following day, her grandmother discovered her walking with difficulties. She persuaded her to tell her what happened then she revealed how she was defiled by the old man.
The abused girl was taken to Nduru Sub-county hospital where she was confirmed defiled and was treated.
Her relatives reported the matter at Nyakembene Police Post who launched manhunt for the suspect.
Kisii County Police Commander Charles Keses confirmed the defilement saying that the police were looking for the suspect.
