Following President William Ruto’s directive and promise during the final send-off of the late Malava MP Malulu Injendi, Lugusi Boys High School has received a 52-seater bus in his memory.

Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi presided over Friday’s handing-over ceremony and thanked the President for fulfilling his commitment.

Speaking at the event, President Ruto’s aide, Farouk Kibet, also donated Ksh. 1 million to the school to support the completion of a storeyed classroom building initiated by the late MP.

The donation was made in collaboration with Higher Education PS Beatrice Inyangala, Ikolomani MP Bernard Shinali, Navakholo MP Emmanuel Wangwe, and Shinyalu MP Fred Ikana.

“The school must be developed to the level the late MP envisioned. With no boundary restrictions, more construction will occur to ensure a conducive learning environment,” said.

As he handed over the Ksh. 1 million, Kibet urged the principal to continue the classroom project from where the late MP left off.

He also reassured Malava residents that the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) remains intact, adding that proper measures have been taken to safeguard the funds despite the absence of an area MP.

Kibet called on the CDF committee to work closely with MPs to ensure well-planned development projects across Malava. He assured residents that bursary funds would be accessible to students in all wards until a new MP is elected.

Additionally, he encouraged residents to elect a new MP from the ruling party to honour the late Malulu and ensure continued government support for the constituency’s development.
