Little known schools in Nyamira outsmart academic giants in examinations

Little known schools in Nyamira County posted impressive results in 2024 KCSE.

St Danes Eronge Secondary School in Keroka managed to produce 83 candidates who will be joining public universities out of the 129 who wrote the exams.

School Principal Peter Nyawach attributed the impressive returns to hard work and early completion of the syllabus.

The Principal who is a former deputy Principal at Maseno School said they invested a lot in the conduct of their students.

Nyawach said the learning institution realized a mean score of 7.0233 with a deviation of +0.8667 compared to 6.1566 the previous year.

He said their target mean score this year will be 7.5.

Nyameru Secondary School had a total of 74 candidates who managed to attain the minimum University qualification grades with a mean grade of 6.8.

The Principal John Okoth who is also a former deputy principal at Maseno School said the achievement was a major improvement compared to the previous year when the mean score was 5.7.

Okoth said their target mean score this time round is 7.
