Kenya Union of Post Primary Education Teachers (KUPPET) has reiterated that their strike today is on, dispelling any doubts after KNUT backed off.
Kisii Branch Vice Chairman Samuel Maticha said KNUT cancelled the strike because it did not give adequate notice and they were aware of that.
“KNUT curtailed the strike because they found that unlike us, they had not issued a legal notice of strike to the government and so the strike was illegal,” said Maticha, asking all teachers to keep off classrooms until they hear from headquarters on the next course of action.
