Kajiado KNUT Secretary Elly Korinko has blamed Teachers Service Commission (TSC) for poor performance in the national examinations in the area.
Korinko who was reacting to Namelok Girls Secondary School strike yesterday, said most schools in Kajiado County lacked enough teachers.
Namelok Girls Secondary students went on strike to protest shortage of teachAll Postsers and poor diet in the school.
He said students from Sajiloni Secondary School had also walked out of the school this week protesting shortage of teachers.

Also, learning was disrupted as parents stormed Erankau Secondary School on Monday where they decried poor administration and lack of enough subject teachers which led to poor performance.
The KNUT official said that the school’s Board of Management and the local leadership has been asking the TSC office to make administrative changes without any consideration from the teachers’ employer.
“Parents had to take up action and ejected the Principal. TSC is sleeping on the job,” he said referring to one of the schools in the county.
Most schools have been affected by shortage of teachers across the country.
