KNUT satisfied with the conduct of KCSE exams this year

As the 2024 KCSE examinations reach the second week, a Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) official has expressed satisfaction with its smooth running and wished candidates success.

Speaking in his Kilgoris office, branch Executive Secretary Willy Korir appealed to supervisors and invigilators to uphold professional conduct during the exercise in order to produce credible results.

“This is a national exercise that carries and reflects the image of our country; therefore, it should be handled with a lot of care and integrity,” he said.

Transmara East Director of  Education Walter Wanjala said the examinations were going on smoothly in spite of transportations problems.

“All centres are well catered for by our able team consisting of securities officers, centre managers and other officials,” he said.

The officer revealed that Transmara East Sub-county is presenting 3944 candidates in this year’s examinations in 36 centres.
