As the 2024 KCSE examination enters its second week, the Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) has expressed satisfaction over the smooth running of the examination so far.
Speaking at his Kilgoris office, branch Executive Secretary Willy Korir, appealed to supervisors and invigilators to uphold professional conduct during the exercise in order to produce credible examination results.
“This is a national exercise that carries and reflects the image of our country therefore it should be handled with a lot care and integrity,” he said.
Transmara East Director of Education Walter Wanjala said the examinations were going on smoothly despite transportation problems.
“All centres are well catered for by our able team consisting of security officers, centre managers and other officials,” he said.
The officer said that the sub-county registered 3,944 candidates in this year’s KCSE examination in 36 centres.
He revealed that a Chepkoiyet Secondary School candidate gave birth to twins and was recovering well and sitting her exams from Ndanai Hospital in Bomet county.
