Joseph Malel Lang’at and Aggrey Namisi have secured the top leadership positions in the Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) during a by-election.
Malel is now the 1st National Vice Chairman, while Namisi takes the 2nd National Vice Chairman role, both uncontested.
The vacancies arose following the passing of Stanley Mutai and John Lutta Wesonga earlier this year.
Additionally, Dan Aloo, the Kilindini KNUT Executive Secretary, is the new third National Trustee.
Alfred Too now assumes the NEC 1-Rift Valley position, previously held by Malel, and Rahab Nyambura fills the NEC 4 (Affirmative Action) Central role.
