The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) will hold a workshop for schools that participated in Kenya Junior School Education Assessment (KJSEA) in preparation for the implementation of forthcoming KJSEA in November 2025.
The two day workshop is scheduled to take place on Monday 16th and Tuesday 17th December 2024 at Lake Naivasha Resort.
The participants will be one junior school teacher from each of the 235 schools that took part in the pilot programme, head teachers of the participating schools are requested to nominate one teacher from junior school to attend the workshop.
In a statement, KNEC CEO Dr David Njengere, indicated that KNEC embarked on preparations for administrators of the KJSEA to be conducted to learners at the end of grade 9. KNEC had conducted the KJSEA pilot study in July 2024.

The pilot involved 235 schools spread across the 47 counties where 5 schools were sampled from each county. The examination body has since analyzed and improved the pilot assessment papers in readiness to transform them to sample papers, the sample papers will be shared with all the junior schools.
