Kisumu shines in KICOSCA games, retains second overall position

The Kisumu team has retained its second overall title during the just concluded 10th Kenya Inter County Sports and Cultural Association games in Meru County.

Kisumu Men Basketball team retained the title while they took position two in Basketball Ladies, Netball, and Volleyball Ladies and Men.

There was jubilation at the Kisumu Camp as players, Coaches, and Team Managers celebrated the remarkable performance in the games, which was also attended by Deputy Governor Dr. Mathew Owili who took part in the Golf Competition as a defending champion.

The CECM for Sports, Tourism, Gender, Culture and Youth Affairs Beatrice Odongo received accolades for assembling a winning team.

Kisumu Governor Professor Anyang’ Nyong’o congratulated the team for the gallant effort.

“Well done, we are proud of our teams and we congratulated them for a job well done,” said Nyong’o.
