Kisii School fraternity mourns death of their former Principal

Kisii National School fraternity is mourning the death of one of the pioneer head teachers of the institution Joel Dickens Nyaema.

Nyaema who is known to be third head teacher of African Government (Kisii School) was succeeded by J.I.Kinyua in 1982.

According to the current Principal of Kisii School Fred Mogaka, Kisii fraternity sends their deepest condolences and prayers to the family and the entire Kisii School family.

“May our good Lord comfort us during these trying moments of grief and sorrow,” said the Principal.

Former education officer Zachary Ondara who is a former student of Kisii School, termed the late Nyaema a knowledgeable disciplinarian.

“He is a firm and strict but loving who corrected his students with love.

The death comes barely a year since the passing on of another former Principal of the school John Kinaro’s (pictured below) death who served the school before he was transferred to Kakamega High.

Kisii School has been led by many Principals since its inception in 1934, among them being the late Patrick Monyenye.

Other Principals who headed the school include Edward Onuong’a and the current Nairobi School Principal Casper Maina.

Kisii School is known to have produced great elites and leaders in society comprising former Minister for Finance Simeon Nyachae, former Kisii County Governor James Ongwae, Kisumu Governor Anyang Nyong’o, former CJ David Maraga and the former CS for Education Dr Fred Matiangi among others.
