Kisii DG pledges to prioritize ECDE in the county’s development agenda

Kisii County Government has promised to give priority to Early Childhood Development and Education (ECDE) programmes because of its foundational value.

Deputy Governor (DG) Elijah Obebo revealed this when he addressed the public on the state of the county as he marked 100 days of service since he was appointed to the position.

“We are going to give more ECDE classrooms to provide better education services for our younger children to enable them establish a stronger education foundation,” he said.

In an exclusive interview with Education News, Obebo assured the residents of equitable distribution of government services, assuring them of a prosperous future.

“Our governor Simba Arati is keen on the development of education, health and agriculture programmes for our people; that is why I am here today to assure you that the future is bright,” he said.

He appreciated the effort of some Members of the County Assembly ( MCAs) to donate water tanks and drill boreholes at ECDE centres.

Answering their critics,he asked them to be patient with the government as not all projects can be accomplished at the same time.
