Kilifi locals must be taught Italian to ease interaction with tourists, envoy says

The Italian Ambassador to Kenya Roberto Natali has said that Kilifi County has over 1,800 tourism operators working in Italian resorts and facilities, and it is important that they learn the language to interact with the visiting tourists.

Speaking at the Ocean Beach Resort and Spa in Malindi town during the celebration of the Italian week of cuisine, the Ambassador said that Kilifi County is set to receive many tourists this festive season.

He added that Kilifi County has Hotels and Italian restaurants which makes it attractive for the many Italian tourists visiting the town for holidays.

Present during the ceremony was Tana River Governor Dhadho Godhana and Deputy Governor of Kilifi Flora Chibule, who was the host, together with Italian investors and Italians living in Malindi.

The governor took the opportunity to invite Italian investors to invest in his county, which he said has unique and virgin opportunities that have not been explored.
