Peter Mwaura, a resident of Makomboki, said before the project, the classroom roofs were leaking and uncomfortable  to the children.

Mwaura adds that Makomboki, being at the slopes of the Aberdare Forest, experiences a lot of rain, making life unbearable for children during heavy downpours.

“The six classrooms had broken window panes which have been replaced.  When the school opens in January the learners will be able to concentrate on their studies,” he said.
