“KICD has lost an exceptionally visionary, insightful, and dedicated leader who firmly believed in nurturing every child’s potential. Nzioka was wholeheartedly committed to educational reforms and consistently advocated for the best interests and perspectives of children and learners,” he stated.
During discussions on the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) within the KICD Council and other curriculum development initiatives, Johnson was often regarded as “the voice of the child.”
The institute extended its prayers to his family, friends, relatives, and all education stakeholders, asking for God’s grace, peace, and strength during this difficult time.
Prof Ong’ondo quoted the Book of Revelations 21:4 to offer comfort to Nzioka’s family: “He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more; neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”
