The Kenya Institute of Curriculum development (KICD) has invited publishers registered or legally represented in Kenya to submit proposals of Competency Based Curriculum (CBC) senior secondary suitable materials for evaluation and approval.
The institute has therefore asked the publishers to download the submission, evaluation, and approval procedures for support materials 2025 edition from the KICD website.
In a notice, KICD, indicated that the procedures will enable interested publishers to submit proposals of suitable materials for evaluation and approval.
Publishers are therefore invited to submit proposals of suitable materials to the KICD in accordance with the requirements and timetables established in the procedures.
For purposes of logistics, publishers wishing to submit materials are required to inform the director of KICD CEO by March 7, 2025 in writing.
Senior secondary suitable materials include textbooks, workbooks and other learning aids that are specifically designed for learners typically covering complex concepts and preparing them for further education or careers.
Publishers’ submission of course materials for all learning areas in Grade 10 and literary texts for grades 10 to 12 for evaluation and approval must be made not later than 11am April 2, 2025.

Early this year, (KICD) early January released a full list of textbooks for schools.
