As the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams continue, Matungulu KESSHA Chair David Muange has called on parents to provide unwavering support to their children.
Emphasizing the importance of a calm and focussed environment, he urged parents to give students the space they need to concentrate fully on their exams.
“Parents should ensure that their children have everything they need to succeed in these exams,” Muange said.
The Katwanyaa Secondary School head advised parents not to overload candidates with household duties, stating, “Be patient. After exams, you will have them to yourself. Right now, they need peace of mind to do their best.”

With the rainy season setting in, Muange also highlighted the importance of safety, encouraging parents to make arrangements for their children to reach school safely without unnecessary stress or delays due to weather.
“This is a critical moment for them, and we all need to do our part to support them. Escort them if necessary to ensure nothing hinders them from doing their exam,” Muange said, stressing that parents play a key role in helping their children to focus on success.
