KEPSHA National Chair Johnson Nzioka dies in road accident

The Toyota Prado Johnson Nzioka was driving reportedly rammed into a trailer.

The Kenya Primary Schools Headteachers Association (KEPSHA) National Chairman, Johnson Nzioka, has died in a tragic road accident along the Nairobi-Mombasa highway in Machakos County.

Nzioka lost his life yesterday evening when the Toyota Prado he was driving crashed into a trailer at Lukenya, within Athi River Sub-county.

Confirming the incident, Athi River South Sub-county Police Commander Philis Muthoni said Nzioka died on the spot.

“Yes, there was a fatal road accident along the Nairobi-Mombasa Highway at Lukenya in Athi River last evening. The private Toyota Prado reportedly rammed into a trailer after its driver failed to maintain a safe distance,Muthoni confirmed this morning.

The vehicle had two occupants, Nzioka and a passenger, at the time of the crash.

Nzioka’s body was moved to the mortuary, while the wreckage was towed to Athi River Police Station awaiting inspection.

Until his demise, Nzioka was the headteacher of Donholm Primary School in Nairobi.

He earned a Higher Diploma in Education Management from the Kenya Education Management Institute (KEMI) in July 2013 and a Bachelor of Education (Arts) degree from the East African University, graduating in December 2017.
