There has been a traffic gridlock on Thika Road for better part of the day after Kenyatta University students blocked part of the superhighway.
This is after KPLC staff tried to carry a power transformer at the institution.
However, the staff were chased away by the students chased them away who secured the transformer.

It is alleged that KPLC staff had been doing power maintenance in that area leaving students and residents in darkness since Friday Night.
The students lamented that the blackout has been hindering smooth learning at the university.
According to official notice released by KPLC today morning, some parts of Kenyatta University were scheduled to undergo maintenance as from 9am.
