Kenya Education Fund (KEF) held a workshop to mentor students who just completed high school through their scholarship programmes.
The students were taken through class of 2022 CREW (Career readiness, Reproductive health and Entrepreneurship Workshop) at the Contemplative Retreat Center in Karen.
The workshop is custom made to provide insights to the beneficiaries regarding transition to higher learning institutions and adulthood.
They were further awarded a one-year scholarship to help them join colleges and universities.
Since KEF began having the workshops, transition rate of their beneficiaries into institutions of higher learning has reached 98%.

Civics and governance session was done by Gerald Walterfang, Founder and Director at WDS Africa, a KEF partner. He advocated for civic duty and responsibility saying it is every citizen’s obligation in a functioning society.
Dr. Gift Mtukwa, a lecturer at African Nazarene University and KEF partner, took the attendees trough work ethics and negotiation skills. He emphasized that Kenya needs more ethical leaders who should be mentored from a young age.
