KCSE exams: Kamusinga tops Western as Kakamega High makes comeback

Friends School Kamusinga of Bungoma posted impressive results registering a mean score of 9.8 with registered 417 students. Some 47 had A plain and 111 A-. Kakamega High School, Bunyore Girls in Vihiga, St Peter’s Mumias Boys, and St Mary’s Mumias Girls also made a comeback with improved mean scores from the previous years.

Bunyore Girls had 10 students scoring straight As. The school’s Principal said, “Our girls have made us proud by posting stellar results. We look forward to even greater accomplishment this year.”

Kakamega High Principal Dr Julius Mambili elated with 8.1 mean score the school recorded said, “I want to tell our parents, community and country that the giant is back and we have recorded more good results than the one we recorded last year,  in 2023 we recorded a mean score of 8.1.

Out of 613 students, eight had A plain, 74 A-, 80 B+, 86 B plain, 130 B-, 97 C+, 97 C plain, 29 C-, 10 D and two D plain.

St Peter’s Mumias Boys with 576 candidates posted a mean score of 8.1 having 16 A-, 66 B+, 144 B, 184 B-, 119C+, 40 C, 6 C- and one X.

Mukumu Girls had an improved mean score of 7.7.

It was joy for Musoli Girls who registered a grade A plain after 16-year drought and school had 6.6 mean score.

In Busia, Butula Boys had a 7.9 mean score compared to 9.1 in 2023.
