Kangundo MP urges police action against defilers and minors’ impregnation

Kangundo MP Fabian Muli speaks in Kakuyuni police station after launching staff quarters.

Kangundo Member of Parliament (MP), Fabian Muli, has called upon law enforcement to vigorously pursue individuals engaging in the defilement and impregnation of minors.

Addressing the community in Kakuyuni, Machakos County, Muli emphasized the need for stern measures, particularly during the extended holiday period when an upsurge in teenage pregnancies is observed.

“Meticulous action should be taken against men preying on our kids during this holiday. They must face the full force of the law to understand that our children need protection, not exploitation,” the MP asserted.

Muli urged community members to actively participate in the collective effort to combat such offenses and cautioned against resorting to makeshift justice systems, emphasizing the importance of proper legal processes for justice to prevail.

“Speak out if you know anyone involved in the defilement or impregnation of a minor. It’s crucial to cleanse our community of such individuals,” he urged the public.

The MP also stressed the significance of ensuring children who completed their Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) enroll in secondary school.

He pledged to enhance and establish day secondary schools in the sub-county to accommodate students whose families cannot afford boarding facilities.

Furthermore, Muli committed to initiating bursaries for junior secondary students, responding to numerous requests from parents.

He extended the offer to those who have completed Form Four, encouraging them to consider technical institutes with the assurance that financial constraints would not be an obstacle, given government support and his provision of bursaries.
