Kagumo Boys High in Nyeri celebrates impressive results in 2024 KCSE

Nyeri County’s Kagumo Boys High School has once again cemented its status as an academic giant after recording stellar results in the 2024 KCSE examinations.

The institution achieved a mean score of B+ of 9.45 points, an improvement from the previous year’s 8.92, and emerged among the top-performing schools nationally.

Out of the 446 candidates who sat the exam, 94.8 per cent attained the minimum university entry grade of C+ and above, with 55 per cent scoring straight As and A-minuses.

Speaking during the celebrations held at the school, Senior Principal Dr Silas Mwirigi applauded the students and teachers saying, “This success is a result of teamwork, dedication, and a culture of excellence that we have consistently nurtured at Kagumo Boys. I commend the candidates for their determination and the teachers for going above and beyond to ensure our students excel.”

The school’s top candidate scored an impressive A of 84 points and has expressed interest in pursuing medicine at the University of Nairobi. “I am grateful to God, my parents, and my teachers for their support. This journey was not easy, but the strong academic environment at Kagumo Boys played a key role in my success,” he said.
