Kabarak University recently partnered with the National Authority for the Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (NACADA) to conduct a sensitization session on drugs and substance abuse.
The session occurred during the orientation programme for first year students recently, presided by Vice Chancellor Henry Kiplang’at.
The session offered the freshmen practical strategies for avoiding the harmful substances and prioritizing their well-being.
The three-day programme also equipped students with knowledge and skills necessary for a successful academic journey.
The freshmen were also guided on navigating the challenges of modern campus life, including balancing studies, social media, cohabitation and cultural integration.
In addition, career guidance counselors led a session to provide insights into career paths, job search strategies, and networking opportunities.
