Jubilations as Ng’iya Girls’ High School welcomes new 16-seater high roof luxurious van

There was jubilation and an outpouring of joy at Ng’iya Girls’ High School in Siaya when they received a luxurious 16-seater van last Friday.

This is after the school saw the need to buy an extra vehicle to address transport the increasing number of students.

During this ceremony, the ACK Bishop of Maseno West Diocese, Rt. Rev John-Mark Haung Godia, blessed and dedicated the van to the service of the school community.

The van is expected to uplift academic standards and upscale co-curricular activities such as sports and music.

The special hymn was recited to celebrate the school principal, Mrs Helen Masengeli, for her deep commitment to investing in quality education for girls.

The event was graced by  the school principal, Mrs Masengeli, the Board Chairperson Margaret Nandy and her Parents Association Chair, Dr. Cyprian Oduogo.

The new van joins a fleet of buses and another van owned by the school.

According to Mrs Masengeli, the new van will boost the school’s academic and sporting activities, adding that the vehicle will be handy in ferrying teachers and students during benchmarking missions in other institutions.

She thanked the board for supporting the school by approving the purchase of the new vehicle.
