It was joy and jubilation at Ngata Bridge Estate in Rongai Sub-county, Nakuru after family and neighbours of Kapsabet Boys High School student, Mark Kibet who scored A plain of 84 points in KCSE received the news.
The neighbours broke into song and dance as they carried the student shoulder high in thanks to God for the good results that are among the top candidates.
Speaking to Education News, Kibet said that the feat was a culmination of hard work and dedication he has put in for the past four years with support from teachers and his parents.
He said that he was overjoyed on receiving the news of the performance that will enable him to pursue his dream course — Neurosurgeon.

“I did not expect this much but I thank God that he has enabled me to perform this best, I thank all my teachers and parents for the support they gave me,” he said.
Stella Tonui said that they have been visiting the boy in his school together with other family members to ensure that he remains on track in his education and we are grateful that he has done us proud.
“His father passed away but we have been the greatest pillar to his education to ensure that it does not distract him,” she said.
Also, Nehemiah Meitamei Kasaine from Kapsabet Boys also registered a mean grade of A.
He scored a straight A, recording As in seven subjects, A minus in one subject and B plain in one subject.
