Jubilation as West Pokot thirsty village gets water borehole

Jubilation has greeted the launch of a water borehole at Pusian, Chepararia in Pokot South.

The area has been facing a severe water shortage until MP David Pkosing unveiled the water project recently that has addressed a major problem in the area.

Local residents thanked the legislator for coming to their rescue saying school children won’t be traveling long distances to access the precious commodity.

Speaking during the launch of the programme, Pkosing said that traveling long distances in search of water will now be a thing of the past and advised the community to take good care of the resource.

All the families and neighbouring schools which are bound to benefit are Chepkopegh, Tiriken, Cheptiangwa, Kaikai, Shalpogh and the adjacent areas.

Thousands of families will manage to get water for livestock, hospital and even for domestic consumption.
