JSS teachers told to shift the vibrant energy while seeking jobs to class

JSS teachers have been urged to convert the energy they had as they agitated for permanent employment to helping learners to grasp CBC concepts.

Speaking during the funeral service of Mrs. Esther Chemobo, who is the mother of Joab Chemobo, the Deputy Principal of Koitabut Secondary School in Nandi South, Nandi KUPPET Executive Secretary Paul Rotich hoped the teachers will now teach with zeal now that their wish has been granted.

“Come January, JSS teachers will have a thanksgiving service at Kapsabet for their prayers have been answered,” he said.

Rotich commended the overall recruitment exercise, terming it as free from the usual political interference.

The same was echoed by a CSO who said the teachers play an important role in shaping the learners’ destiny and should ensure that teaching learning outcomes are always met.

The officer promised the commission’s commitment to employing more teachers once it is allocated funds from the treasury.

Esther Chemobo was eulogized as a committed Christian and disciplinarian who ensured that her children learned to become teachers. They heeded her mentorship and are now teaching in various schools in Nandi County.
