Learners at Tampalal Primary School were joyful as the Grade 9 class was officially commissioned. Parents, teachers, and Board of Management (BoM) members joined the celebration as Philemon Rop, the West Pokot Sub County Education Quality Assurance and Standards Officer (QASO), and Benson Ariteluk, the County Project Coordinator, officially commissioned the class.
Ariteluk asked the learners to work hard to join high-quality institutions beyond their locality, citing himself as an example when he was a student at an institution in the Nyanza region.
He also congratulated the Ministry of Education for considering and providing funds in time to construct grade 9 classrooms in West Pokot County.
He further said that 99 grade 9 classrooms were constructed in West Pokot County during the Phase 1 budget and 278 classrooms during the Phase 2 budget. Hopefully, by the end of the Phase 3 project, 313 classrooms will have been constructed in the county.

In addition, Mr. Ariteluk urged the teachers to use the updated Curriculum Designs to implement the CBC system of Education properly and effectively.
On his part, Rop, the QASO West Pokot Sub-county, urged teachers to guide the learners to fully understand the CBC system of Education. He further asked the teachers to ensure learners understand the three pathways after grade 9
Therefore, at grade 10, the learner is supposed to select one of the three pathways: Stem, Social Sciences, Or Creative Arts and Sports.
Rop congratulated the Tampalal Primary School head teacher on giving the school a new face through renovation.
The Headteacher, Madam Christine Lotee, greatly thanked the Ministry of Education for the grade 9 class, which and humbly requested consideration of Science and ICT laboratories.
