Celebrations rocked many parts of Nyanza region following impressive performances in the 2024 KCSE exams Kisumu Boys High, Maseno School emerged as some of the top performers.
Enock Odhiambo, a student from Kisumu Boys High, expressed his happiness and gratitude after achieving exceptional results. He got A plain.
“I feel happy with the results. I didn’t expect this, but I thank God for this achievement. Indeed, the journey was not easy, but I thank God for making me victorious in the end,” Enock said.
Medical doctor
Enock, who is determined to pursue Medicine and become a medical doctor, is one of the top performers at Kisumu Boys High, which is celebrating its stellar results.
The Chief Principal of Kisumu Boys Muma Austine expressed immense pride in the school’s performance.
“Today, we are happy as a community of Kisumu Boys for getting good results. Our top student scored an A plain with 84 points, which is a testament to the dedication of our students and teachers,” he said.

The school had a total of 550 candidates, with expectations of at least 80 per cent qualifying for university entry.
The school is hopeful that their target mean grade of 9.0 will be achieved, with more students expected to secure A grades.
“We thank God for the peace we enjoyed last year and for the unprecedented efforts of our teachers,” noted Muma, adding that they had hurdles, but they were able to jump through them.
He also thanked the parents for their commitment and support.
Milka Mbilivili, the mother of top performer Henrick Enock, expressed her heartfelt gratitude.
Respectful boy
“I feel very happy and grateful. God has seen us through this journey, and I want to thank the entire Kisumu Boys fraternity for supporting my son. He is a humble and respectful boy, and I believe this has contributed to his success,” Milka said.
At Maseno School, Patrick Mboya, the school’s Dean of Studies, shared the good news of their impressive performance.
“So far, we have 23 students with an A plain,” Mboya said.
“Among them, three students scored 84 points, and four students achieved 83 points. We are still expecting more As as we download more results.”
The school had a total of 680 candidates, and their target of achieving 80 A grades or more is still within reach.
Some of the top performers from Maseno School include Vincent Kipkemboi, Ngetich Mark Kiprotich, and Ian Muteti, who each scored 84 points.
The school remains hopeful as the results continue to come in, with many students expected to qualify for university entry.
“Downloading results has been a bit slow due to network issues, but we expect to get even more As,” Mboya added.
Meanwhile, Ngiya High School has also made significant strides, posting impressive results under the leadership of Senior Principal Hellen Juma.
“We have made great progress, and we are grateful for the support from our parents and board members,” Principal Juma said.

So far, she said they have one student with an A plain, 22 students with A-, and many students with B grades.
“We are confident that as more results come in, we will see even more success.”
“This is a good day for Ng’iya High School,” Principal Juma said, adding that the results reflect the hard work of their dedicated and self-driven students. We are optimistic about even greater achievements in the years to come.”
One of Ngiya’s top students, one Atieno, shared her excitement.
“I feel very happy and grateful that I have achieved something from my four years at Ng’iya. I didn’t expect to get an A plain, but I am glad I did. I knew I would pass, but I didn’t expect this level of success,” Atieno said.
As the day unfolds, and more results are expected to trickle in across different schools within the region.
