Khwisero MP Christopher Aseka Wangaya today handed over an ultra-modern storey learning block to the administration of St Stephen’s Namasoli Secondary as he pressed on with his efforts to transform education standards in the constituency.
Speaker of the National Assembly Moses Masika Wetang’ula, presided over the colourful ceremony amid song and dance.
The facility, put up with funds from the area NG-CDF, consists of administration offices, four classrooms, a library and a computer laboratory.

Aseka said the new building is set to provide a stable and well-equipped space for academic excellence.
“With this latest development, the total number of completed and handed over storey tuition blocks under my leadership now stands at sixteen, reinforcing my commitment to strengthening educational infrastructure across Khwisero,” he added.
On his part, Wetang’ula pledged KSh5 million to aid the purchase of land towards expansion of the institution. He also promised to donate 50 computers to enhance digital learning at the school.
He further, through donor support, pledged to construct seven classrooms at the Namasoli Comprehensive School to accommodate surging population at the centre.
Aseka highlighted his constituency-wide development agenda placing an emphasis on the new subsidised lunch programme in all-day secondary schools and healthcare across Khwisero.
Also present were, among others, MPs John Walukhe of Sirisia, Nabii Nabwera of Lugari, an official of the NG-CDF National Board Naomi Shiyonga and a host of members of the Kakamega County Assembly.
