Joy as Moi University student leader donates sanitary pads to school in Bungoma

Moi University student leader Agneta Mwangale has extended a helping hand to female students at Marobo Girls High School in Bungoma by donating sanitary pads in a bid to promote menstrual health and ensure uninterrupted learning.

During the donation, Mwangale also delivered a powerful motivational talk, sharing her personal experiences and strategies for overcoming challenges.

She encouraged students to remain focused on their education despite challenges, emphasizing the importance of self-confidence and resilience. She urged the young learners to dream big and work hard towards their goals.

“Menstrual hygiene should never be a barrier to education,” Mwangale said, “Every girl deserves the dignity to attend school comfortably and pursue her ambitions without limitations.”

The donation addresses a pressing issue, as many girls from underprivileged backgrounds struggle to afford sanitary products, often leading to absenteeism and poor academic performance.

The initiative was met with overwhelming gratitude from students and teachers, who hailed the gesture as timely and impactful.

Mwangale, a vocal advocate for gender equality and education, shared her own experiences, inspiring the students to persevere despite obstacles.
