Joy as Makueni County employs ECDE teachers to replace those who retired

Makueni County has employed 28 Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) teachers on Permanent and Pensionable terms to replace those who have retired.

The County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Education, Internship and ICT Elizabeth Muli, speaking at Makueni Vocational Education Centre (MIVEC) during the induction of the newly employed teachers to the public service board, said that they are replacing those who retired last year.

She encouraged the teachers to mold all round learners saying that ECDE tutors play a vital role in shaping young learners.

Muli told the new hired teachers that their performance will be closely monitored to ensure high standards are maintained.

She was accompanied County Education Chief Officer Irene Makau and Dr Justin Kyambi, the County Secretary and Head of Public Service.
