Teenagers who have recently undergone traditional circumcision have been urged not to use their new status as a ticket for misbehaviour.

Speaking during celebrations to honour over 80 boys who were initiated into adulthood in Sigor constituency, MP Peter Lochakapong appreciated them for undergoing the initiation rite heroically and thanked their parents for supporting them.

Lochakapong further warned them against disrespecting parents, teachers and individuals in need of their assistance.

He told them that the initiation had ushered them to be mature in all aspects of their lives, be responsible and embrace hard work.

The MP also said that they should be proud of themselves but should not let the pride get the better of them and should maintain humility instead.
