Information Communication and the Digital Economy Cabinet Secretary William Kabogo has urged the students to explore and utilize the vast opportunities available in the digital space.
Kabogo made the remarks on Tuesday, January 29, 2025 during official visit at the Eldoret National Polytechnic (TENP), Jitume Digital Hub. He noted that the digital space is crucial for driving innovation and creating sustainable livelihoods.

Noting the importance of digital skills in the rapidly evolving economy, Kabogo asked the students to explore these opportunities as they are crucial in unlocking both personal and national economic growth now and in the future.
Kabogo also had a forum with TENP to share Kenya Kwanza policy in digital space.
He assured the TENP of collaborative efforts to ensure they get better ICT infrastructure. Kabogo further lauded the Chief Principal Dr Charles Koech for great milestones in leading the institution.
“As a ministry, we are committed to enhancing internet connectivity across the country to support the Digital Superhighway pillar of the Bottom-up Economic Transformation Agenda. Together, we can unlock Kenya’s full potential in the digital economy and ensure no one is left behind,” the CS said.
Kabogo said the government had no plans to switch off social media but ask Kenyans to be responsible and observe discipline when using social media to avoid infringing on other people’s privacy.
