Homa Bay Grade 4 girl beaten to paralysis by classmates over contested noisemakers list

The learner is receiving treatment at Homa Bay County Teaching and Referral Hospital.

A ten-year-old Grade Four pupil is recuperating at Homa Bay County Teaching and Referral Hospital after being attacked by her classmates.

The girl, who serves as the class secretary, was allegedly assaulted after recording the names of noisemakers, which led to their punishment by the teacher.

Reports indicate that the angry students retaliated after receiving the punishment, severely beating the young girl and causing serious injuries.

As a result of the attack, she has been left paralyzed in both lower limbs.

Medical staff are closely monitoring her condition as investigations into the incident continue.
