ACK Ukia Mixed Day Secondary School performs well in examinations, despite being a day school. Principal Ruth Muia said that out of 72 candidates who sat for the 2024 KCSE, six qualified for university, with two students achieving a B- and four receiving C+ grades, resulting in an improvement index of 0.0309.

“Out of the 72 candidates, one was absent during the KCSE, yet we still saw improvement,” Muia said.

As a purely day and mixed secondary school, the institution values the importance of spiritual nourishment and discipline emphasizing its crucial role in their success alongside hard work.

In co-curricular activities, the school has participated at the national level in the Science and Engineering Fair, and their badminton team has reached the regional level in sports.

Muia noted that the community is very supportive and the environment is conducive to learning.

The school’s enrollment currently stands at 321, and the catchment area is promising, considering they are located near larger schools.

However, the school is in need of improved infrastructure, especially a better administration office, among other essential facilities.
