The construction of a Grade 9 classroom at Bendera Primary School in Kenyenya Sub-county, which former Kisii KUPPET Executive Secretary Ben Nyaundi said started early last month, is almost complete.
He attributed the positive progress to the collective responsibility between the school management and the community.
He was speaking to residents on Thursday when he inspected the progress of the project.
“Any community development calls for collective effort by stakeholders. I thank our people for this joint effort,” he said.
Nyaundi, in his right as an old pupil of the school, appealed to colleagues who are working in and outside the country to visit and encourage the young learners to embrace education.

He promised to mobilize his educated friends from the region to complement parents and teachers’ efforts as a way of giving back to society.
