Champions of the just concluded Kenya secondary schools sports Association national games have been flagged off to represent Kenya in Rwanda.
Among the schools heading to Rwanda on Wednesday is St. Antony high school who were the soccer national champions, Koyonzo boys winning in rugby7, Shanderema secondary school, Butere girls winners in basketball, Mwira high school, Musingu boys champions in hockey and Mwitoti girls.
Flagging off the teams, Kakamega County governor Fernandez Barasa wished success for all the teams as they head to Rwanda for the international sports competition.

As Kenya is known for winning international awards in sports he urged young talented sports boys and girls to do their best to become international champions as the world is looking at them.
He asked students to also work hard to succeed in academics as they also nurture their talents in sports successfully.
He lauded all the education stakeholders including KNUT, KUPPET and KSSSA for the support they gave towards the school games.
The County chief reiterated the county government’s support towards school games and to the teams headed to Rwanda for the regional games.
“We want to offer you all the support we can as we ask you to go and bring the top trophies back home.” Barasa urged.
