Nyamira County Government has assured the public of its efficient service delivery with priority on education, agriculture and healthy sectors where development is anchored.
Addressing education stakeholders during County Education Board (CEB) meeting, Governor Amos Nyaribo said his office has supported the development of infrastructure in schools.
“We have always participated in the provision of education bursary funds to needy learners to continue with their education, and donated money to build classrooms and dormitories,” he said.
The governor asked politicians in the area to stop criticizing his government without any evidence of wrongdoing but instead visit the relevant offices to verify any allegations before going public to propagate falsehood.
He took a swipe at the county Senator Okong’o Omogeni for his continued attack on him, asking him to separate politics from development.
The governor was responding to the recent allegations by Senator Omogeni, who reportedly accused him of condoning corruption.
He asked the Senator to stick to his work of oversight and report truth to the electorate instead of lying to gain political mileage.
